Born 1951 in Australia but living most of my life in New Zealand, i practiced Insight Meditation 1994-96 and then came back to it with renewed interest in 2003. I'm open to all the schools of thought but think of Sayadaw U Tejaniya as my teacher. I've found moment to moment mindfulness practice in daily life a revelation and do little 'formal' practice these days. Stephen Batchelor's ideas have been have been very helpful, as an insight into the nature belief years ago made me a natural secularist. Seeing the way that Stephen began to think for himself to find a path has helped me do the same.
